Is there anybody out there?

Reflections on my teaching practice: What am I attempting to do? How do I want it to impact on my lessons and my student’s learning.

Within a few minutes of searching pre-existing blogs i’ve found a range of research and practitioners with examples of what i’m trying to achieve.

I’ve now established a blog for my classes found here, but I started to wonder where to start.

We recently completed growth mindset training in my school and have started to address this with the students. Part of the idea for my educational blog is to engage students and encourage them to be resilient in their learning, so it would make sense to start with a reflection of what they’ve learned from the mindset theory they’ve received this week.

Wandering through educational blogs i’ve already discovered ideas and tasks that I can use in my classroom such as this layered writing exercise. It appears that there is a much larger community of teachers and educational practitioners willing to share their ideas than I had originally thought!
